Free on-site measure
We measure the yard, check grade and slope, talk through materials and confirm property lines before anything is quoted.

Design and permits
You get a layout, material list and fixed-price quote. Where the City of Edmonton requires a deck or fence permit, we prepare and submit the drawings.

Footings and framing
Screw piles or concrete footings are set below the frost line so the structure doesn't heave over an Alberta winter, then framed with treated lumber and structural fasteners.

Finish and cleanup
Decking, railings, gates and hardware go on, the site is cleaned, and we walk the finished build with you before final payment.

Deck & Fence questions, answered
- Do I need a permit for a deck or fence in Edmonton?
- Decks more than 0.6 m above grade generally need a development and building permit, and fences over the height limit for your zone do too. We prepare the drawings and handle the submission as part of the build.
- Cedar or composite — which is better here?
- Cedar is warmer looking and costs less up front but needs re-staining every two to three years. Composite costs more initially and holds up well through freeze-thaw with almost no maintenance. We price both so you can compare.
- How long does a deck or fence take?
- A typical residential deck takes three to six working days once materials are on site. A standard back-yard fence is usually one to two days.
- Will my deck heave in winter?
- Not when the footings are done properly. We set piles or footings below the Edmonton frost line so the structure stays level through freeze-thaw cycles.
